Following the final World Cup-qualifying grand prix of the U.S. West Coast League, the $150,000 Ford Grand Prix in the Desert, four riders will travel to Las Vegas for the Budwesier FEI World Cup Final.
Nicole Shahinian Simpson won the league, with Joie Gatlin in second and Richard Spooner in third. Gaby Salick finished fourth in the league and was awarded a wild card berth. Since the Final is held in the U.S., the USEF has two wild-card berths in addition to the usual qualification procedure. One wild card will be granted to each coast.
While the West Coast qualifying is done, the East Coast League continues, with the final two qualifiers on March 27 and March 30 in Tampa, Fla.

Laura Kraut currently leads those standings, with 94 points. The remainder are: McLain Ward, 92; Kim Frey, 81; Lauren Hough, 74; Candice King, 71; Schuyler Riley, 65; Anne Kursinski, 62. The top seven qualify; currently Georgina Bloomberg and Beezie Madden are tied for eighth with 59 points.
In the Western European League, where 18 riders qualify, just one more qualifier remains
