Laura Head is suing the British Ministry of Defence for frightening her horse to death, according to The Daily Mail. The Royal Airforce Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, flew low over her stable last fall and frightened her horse.
In fear, Alfie smashed his head against the wall, inadvertently killing himself.
Head had owned the 2-year-old German Warmblood for just 10 days when he collapsed and died. He was intended to be an upper level dressage horse.
A veterinarian examined the horse on September 3 after Alfie’s death and said Alfie collapsed after hitting his head and severing his spinal cord.
