George Williams and Rocher, who just returned to competition after a year-long lay-off, will be the most seasoned pair among the 12 combinations contesting the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Championship on June 16-18 in Gladstone, N.J.
Williams and the 14-year-old mare will be competing against: Jennifer Schrader of Roy, Wash., on Phirst Solo; Arlene Page of Wellington, Fla., on Wild One; Pierre St. Jacques of Boscawen, N.H., on Lucky Tiger; Anne Gribbons of Brentwood, N.Y., on Aureate; Michael Barisone of Califon, N.J., on Neruda; Karen Lipp of Ball Ground, Ga., on Caribi; Melissa Taylor Yee of Wellington, Fla., on Success; Katherine Bateson of Wellington, Fla., on Rainier; Suzanne Dansby Phelps of Atlanta, Ga., on Cooper; Susan Jaccoma of Arundel, Maine, on Jellowa; and Hans Dressler of Princeton, N.J., on Friedel.
The weekend will also include the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Intermediaire I Championships, and Steffen Peters and Marlando, runners-up in this championship last year, are the favorites. One of Peters\’ competitors will be his wife, Shannon, on Luxor.
