What You Need To Know: Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Finals—East

The Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Finals—East kicks off today, Oct. 16. Like the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final, the Talent Search has relocated and is taking place at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina.

The first class is the flat phase, which will begin at 2 p.m. in the covered Blue Ridge Arena. Riders will return Saturday morning at 8 a.m. to compete in the gymnastics phase in the Tryon Stadium. Competition concludes Sunday in the Tryon Stadium, with the jumping phase beginning at 8 a.m. The top four riders will return for the work-off beginning at 12 p.m., and this year’s winner will be crowned afterward.

Sixty-six riders will vie for the title. Lauren Hough and Archie Cox are judging and will serve as this year’s course designers.
