In Pennsylvania the leaves are changing colors, and there’s a bit of a chill in the air at night, which can only mean one thing: It’s time for Kingsview Partners Dressage At Devon.
Competition kicked off Tuesday with the start of the Kingsview Partners Dressage At Devon Breed Show. On Thursday, the breed show wraps up, and the performance divisions begin. They will continue through Sunday.
Highlights include the Grand Prix and Grand Prix freestyle CDI-W classes, which take place Friday and Saturday nights, respectively. The 21 entries in the CDI-W include Paris Olympic Games combinations Marcus Orlob and Jane from Team USA and Canadian Camille Carier Bergeron with Finnländerin. Five-star eventer Laine Ashker will be competing in the FEI Grand Prix aboard Zeppelin. Friday night also features the second Dressage At Devon Dance-Off, a head-to-head competition with costumes, live music and celebrity judges.
Outside of watching the competition in the ring or enjoying the shopping on the grounds, there’s plenty to do. There are lectures from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine New Bolton Center veterinarians, a presentation from Lynn Palm about western dressage, and a masterclass with Brett Parbery.
