The U.S. Equestrian Federation announced the vaulting team for the FEI World Equestrian Games. Three individual men, three individual women and one team were selected to represent the United States, Aug. 20-Sept. 3, in Aachen, Germany.
The women selected for individual competition include: Megan Benjamin, 18, Saratoga, Calif., (8.590 average score);
Elizabeth Osborn, 16, Menlo Park, Calif., (8,267);
Mary McCormick, 23, Woodside, Calif., (8.240); (alternate) Alicen Divita, 17, Redwood City, Calif., (8.128).


The men selected for individual competition include: Kenny Geisler, 25, Diamond Bar, Calif., (7.627);
Todd Griffiths, 27, Pullman, Wash., (7.402); Chris Littmann, 22, Agoura, Calif., (6.965).

F.A.M.E. was selected (7.944) as the team to represent the United States. The F.A.M.E. vaulters (Blake Dahlgren, 22, Sun Valley, Calif., Devon Maitozo, 30, Simi Valley, Calif., Rosalind Ross, 15, Woodside, Calif., Megan Benjamin, 18, Saratoga, Calif., Katie Ritchie, 19, Santa Cruz, Calif., Annalise Vanvranken, 14, Mays Landing, N.J., Elizabeth Ioannou, 10, Saratoga, Calif.)
are a composite team.
The athletes were selected based on the average of their top-three scores obtained at USEF-licensed competitions held from March 1-June 5, as well as the 2005 USEF National Vaulting Championships for individuals.
The vaulting competition will take place Aug. 23-27.
