Weber Family Welcomes Baby Boy

Top ranked FEI Four-in-Hand driver Chester Weber and his wife My welcomed their first son at 11:05 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17. Douglas Oskar Weber entered the world at 21 inches long and weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces.

Chester, who has been training in Germany for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (France), flew back to the United States when his wife called to say she was going into labor.

Chester, who has been training in Germany for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (France), flew back to the United States when his wife called to say she was going into labor.

“I took the first flight back to the States and got there six hours before the baby was born,” Chester said. “One of the advantages of where we base ourselves is that it’s only 11 miles away from the Frankfurt airport.”

Chester said he was excited and thrilled with the birth of his son, and he’ll spend a few days with his family in Ocala, Fla., before returning to Germany on Aug. 26.
