Watch Why They Won: Tebbel And Werth Lead German Charge At Aachen

Thursday, July 20 was a banner day for the Germans on their home turf in Aachen as their show jumping team claimed a dominant victory in the Mercedes Benz Nations Cup and their dressage team took the lead in the race for the Nations Cup in that discipline.

The young Maurice Tebbel, just 23, was the star of the show for the Germans show jumpers in the Mercedes Benz Nations Cup, jumping two clear rounds aboard Chacco’s Son. In the dressage stadium, veteran Isabell Werth and her World Cup Final winner Weihegold OLD danced their way to the top of the Grand Prix to help lead the Germans to a commanding lead in the Nations Cup.
