Devon, PA – June 20, 2011 – The Brandywine Valley Summer Series horse shows presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) is pleased to announce that VIS Consulting is one of this year’s top sponsors. VIS Consulting is an information management and offshoring consulting company owned by Gillian Grant. The Brandywine Valley Summer Series will be held at the prestigious Devon Show Grounds, June 29-July 3, 2011, and July 6-10, 2011, with a local day of competition on Monday July 11, 2011. The event features a full array of hunter/jumper events for horses and riders.

Prior to starting VIS Consulting, Grant spent 10 years at Deloitte building offshoring teams in India and China, along with leading strategic initiatives for their Tax and Consulting functions. VIS Consulting is based in Wilmington, Delaware, and focuses on defining and building efficiencies. Whether the company is developing an offshoring strategy, implementing a search engine or managing an enterprise-wide project, its goal is to increase competitive advantage, manage the bottom line and mitigate risk.

“I felt personally committed to supporting Louise Serio’s vision of developing quality ‘AA’ horse shows, with an emphasis on involving our local community,” commented Grant. “As someone who just started their own company, I am constantly reminded how critical local grassroots relationships are. In addition, having the show at the historic Devon Show Ground gives so many of us the opportunity to compete at this venue, when we might not otherwise have the opportunity. Chester County is extraordinarily diverse in terms of its horse disciplines. Just as I enjoy steeplechase racing, fox hunting or eventing, my hope is that people will appreciate coming to see what we do in the hunter and jumper arena.”

Grant added, “I am looking forward to the specialty classes and demonstrations. There is a strong local contingent that shows in the Mini Prix classes, and I expect those events to showcase formidable competition. Also, supporting the new National Hunter Derby program each week will give some of us amateurs and juniors the experience of riding in a Derby without the higher fences.”

Each week, the competition will feature a $3,000 Johnson Horse Transportation USHJA National Hunter Derby held under the lights on Saturday. The hunter divisions at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series offer over $100,000 in prize money over the two weeks, and will range from the professional hunters to the pony hunters.

Another highlight event will be a $10,000 Mini Prix, held each week, for all jumper riders to showcase their talented mounts. The first week benefits the Chester County Food Bank, and the second week benefits Canine Partners for Life.

With over $49,000 in prize money over the two weeks, the jumper classes at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series presented by THIS will also feature highlight events for all levels, from Open Jumpers to Child/Adult Jumpers.
