On June 19th, the Virginia Horse Center introduced its 2010 Hall of Fame Inductees at a dinner in the Appomattox Mezzanine in Anderson Coliseum.  Approximately 75 people were in attendance to honor this year’s class.

This year’s honorees included Billy McClung, Ann Tierney-Smith, Karen Waldron, Steve McBroom, and the late Judge Williams.

Billy McClung is a Lexington-based attorney who has graciously assisted the Horse Center for many years as legal counsel.   Ann Tierney-Smith,  Karen Waldron, and Steve McBroom are current VHC Board Members and have each been tremendous supporters of the Horse Center for many years.  Each is involved with horses as trainers, owners, or competitors.  The late Judge Williams was a lobbyist who was instrumental in getting the Horse Center to Lexington.  His son and daughter-in-law were present representing the family.

In addition, the Horse Center invited the 39 Virginia-based equestrians who were USA Equestrian national award winners in their respective disciplines.  Those that made the trip to Lexington were acknowledged and were given a small gift.

The Hall of Fame is an annual event at the Horse Center and you can see the “wall” in the Mezzanine space in Anderson Coliseum.  For a complete schedule of Horse Center events and more information go to www.horsecenter.org
