USHJA Accepting Nominations For Inaugural Jane Marshall Dillon Award

The U.S Hunter Jumper Association has announced it is accepting nominations for the inaugural Jane Marshall Dillon Award, to be presented at the USHJA annual meeting in December. The award was established to honor Jane Marshall Dillon, a riding instructor and breeder who served on the board of the Washington International Horse Show (D.C.) and trained Olympic medalists Joe Fargis and Kathy Kusner. She died in 2000 from Parkinson’s disease.

The U.S Hunter Jumper Association has announced it is accepting nominations for the inaugural Jane Marshall Dillon Award, to be presented at the USHJA annual meeting in December. The Dillon Award has been established to recognize hunter/jumper teachers who have spent their lives dedicated to teaching good horsemanship, values and hard work. The winner will have their name engraved on the Jane Marshall Dillon Perpetual Trophy that will be placed in the new USHJA headquarters in Lexington, Ky.

Active USHJA members may nominate someone until Sept. 15, 2010. Nominations should be sent to Kristyn Kay at atkkay@ushja.org or mailed to 3870 Cigar Lane, Lexington, Kentucky, 40511.
