USEF Rule Clarification For Hunter And Hunter Seat Equitation Exhibitors

The 2010 U.S. Equestrian Federation Rule Book Supplement contains two misprints that will be of interest to competitors who ride in the hunters and hunt seat equitation classes:

1. HU119.7 should not have been stricken. This rule is still in effect and reads:
 HU119.7. No course may have exhibitors trotting or cantering through the in gate or out gate; any exhibitor choosing to trot or canter through the in gate or out gate will be eliminated.

2. EQ112.9. USEF Hunter Seat Medal Class. The new Increment Chart and Point Chart appearing in the supplements do not become effective until 10/1/2010 and applies to the 2011 USEF Hunter Seat Medal Qualifying Year. For the current 2010 Increment and Point Charts, please refer to the original printed copy or online version of the 2010 USEF Rule Book, or visit the online charts by visiting the USEF website.
