USEF Names U.S. Reining Squad For 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has named five athlete-and-horse combinations to the U.S. Reining Squad for the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina. Following the USEF Selection Trial, 10 athlete-and-horse combinations were recommended to the USEF Board of Directors for consideration to be named to the nominated entry list, from which the following five horse-and-athlete combinations were selected for the U.S. Reining Squad, listed in alphabetical order:

Casey Deary (Weatherford, Texas) and Hilldale Farm’s Heavy Duty Chex, a 7-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Dan Huss (Scottsdale, Arizona) and Frederick R. Christen’s Ms Dreamy, an 8-year-old Quarter Horse mare

Jordan Larson (Valley View, Texas) and HDC Quarter Horses USA LLC’s ARC Gunnabeabigstar, a 7-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Cade McCutcheon (Aubrey, Texas) and Tim and Colleen McQuay’s Custom Made Gun, a 7-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Tom McCutcheon (Aubrey, Texas) and Turnabout Farm, Inc.’s The Wizster, an 8-year-old Quarter Horse gelding

The following are the reserve combinations, listed in alphabetical order:

Emily Emerson (Elbert, Colorado) and Susan Geiger’s Wind Er Up Wimp, a 9-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Jeremy Gates (Bloomingburg, New York) and Kathy Biesecker’s Lil Dreamin Magnum, a 7-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Gabe Hutchins (Joseph, Oregon) and Tamarack Ranch’s FM Shine N Tag Chex, a 7-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Cameron Meissner (Manhattan, Montana) and Ardyce Swain’s Gold Flash Whiz, a 13-year-old Quarter Horse gelding

Matt Mills (Scottsdale, Arizona) and by Janice Dickson’s Wimps Cool Breeze, an 8-year-old Quarter Horse stallion
