The U. S. Equestrian Federation’s Eventing High Performance Committee announced that the following horse and rider combinations may participate in the 2008 Developing Riders Program. World Equestrian Games individual bronze medalist Amy Tryon will instruct them.
The Developing Riders Program is available to riders of any age who aspire to compete at the highest levels of the sport. To qualify, each horse/rider combination must have completed a CCI** or above.

Precedence is given to riders without prior team experience. Riders selected to participate in these training sessions will become eligible for the Amanda Warrington Fund Grant. This $5,000 grant will be awarded in the summer to a rider recommended by Amy Tryon and approved by the Amanda Warrington Fund Grant Committee.
The riders include:

- Andrea Baxter, Atascadero, Calif., with her own Estrella, an 8-year-old Thoroughbred-Westphalian mare

- Jennie Brannigan, San Diego, Calif., with her own Cooper, a 6-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding
- Anne Carr, Battle Ground, Wash., with her own Safari, an 8-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding
- Nate Chambers, Vienna, Va., with his own Rolling Stone, an 11-year-old Hessen gelding
- Barbara Crabo, Scottsdale, Ariz., with her own Eveready, an 8-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding
- Kate Ditchey, Unionville, Pa., with her own Belmont, a 12-year-old Thoroughbred cross gelding
