U.S. Equestrian Federation officials are launching a new show jumping initiative for young riders beginning in the summer of 2010. Up-and-coming young riders will have the opportunity to participate in the 2010 Show Jumping Young Rider Tour.
The proposed shows for the tour are: the CSI*** Eindhoven (the Netherlands), May 13-16; the CSIOY Reims (France), May 28-30, and the CSIOY Wierden (the Netherlands), June 3-6.
The USEF Jumping Department has posted the Selection Procedure and Application for the 2010 Show Jumping Young Rider Tour on the Show Jumping High Performance website. Five horse-and-rider combinations will be selected for the tour. Pairs should be successfully competing at 1.45 meters or higher.

The USET Foundation will offer limited funding for the 2010 Show Jumping Young Rider Tour.
To be considered for selection on this tour, riders must be born on or between Jan. 1, 1989 and Dec. 31, 1994. The deadline for submitting an application is Monday, March 29, 2010.
