The CSIO Barcelona begins Sept. 28 with the first FEI Jumping Nations Cup competition. The top eight teams from Thursday will move on to the Oct. 1 final. On Sept. 30, the second FEI Jumping Nations Cup competition, the Challenge Cup is open to all teams from the Thursday competition who did not qualify for the final. The Oct. 1 third round, the final, will determine the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final winning team.

The Nations Cup Final is one of two remaining opportunities for the U.S. Jumping Team to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. To qualify for Paris based on their performance at the Nations Cup, the U.S. team must be the highest placed team among countries who have not yet qualified. If they do not secure qualification in Barcelona, the team will have a final opportunity at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, from Oct. 31-Nov. 3. To qualify at the Pan American Games, the U.S. must be one of the top three teams not already qualified for the Olympic Games.
