USEF Announces Selection Procedures for 2011 USEF National Pony Jumper Championships

The U.S. Equestrian Federation National Pony Jumper Championships will be held in conjunction with the USEF Pony Finals, Lexington, Ky., Aug. 10-14, 2011. The championship will offer a team championship and an individual championship.

The team championship will be based on a modified Nations Cup format, and the individual championship will be a multi-round competition. Fence heights will be up to 3’6”.

Each zone may field a team of at least three pony/rider combinations, but not more than four, based on each zone’s respective National Pony Jumper Championships Standings.

If a zone is unable to field a team, that zone may send up to two pony/rider combinations based on the same qualifying criteria to participate in the individual championship.

Pony/rider combinations from each zone will be selected according to ranking in their zone’s respective National Pony Jumper Championships Standings.
