USEF Announces Junior And Young Rider Teams For FEI Jumping Nations Cup Youth Final

The U.S. Equestrian Federation announced the athlete-and-horse combinations selected to represent U.S. Jumping at the 2024 FEI Youth Jumping Nations Cup Final to be held Sept. 12-15 in Lier, Belgium. Both the U.S. Jumping Young Rider Team and U.S. Jumping Junior Team and will be led by Chef d’Equipe Anne Kursinski and Team Leader Erin Keating.  

The following athletes have been selected to the U.S. Jumping Young Rider Team and are listed in alphabetical order. 

Mia Bagnato (Fishkill, New York) and Ballyoskill Big Bucks, an 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Royal Concorde—Lux Clover Lux Z) owned by Elan Farm

Hunter Champey (Far Hills, New Jersey) and High Hopes SFN, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Numero Uno—Wieske, Lupicor) owned by MDHT Equestrian, LLC

Stephanie Garrett (New York City) and Darius De Kezeg Z, a 13-year-old Zangersheide gelding (Darco—Widona De Kezeg, Heartbreaker) owned by Postage Stamp Farm LLC

Lola Head (Houston) and her own Cheilane De Blondel, a 12-year-old Selle Français mare (Non Stop—Surpise De Blondel, Kassidi)

Laurel Walker (Copper Canyon, Texas) and her own Armani, a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Namelus R—Stardust, Lester) 

The following athletes have been selected to the U.S. Jumping Junior Team and are listed in alphabetical order. 

Avery Griffin (Austin, Texas) and Bodega Semilly, a 13-year-old Selle Français mare (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy—La Mare, Apache d’Adriers) owned by PBC Equine Investments LLC

Alexa Elle Lignelli (New York City) and Helium, an 11-year-old Belgian Sport Horse stallion (Coeur De Cachas DS—Freya, Zuenftiger) owned by Skyline Sporthorses LLC

Reese Merna (Mendham, New Jersey) and her own Havanna C2, a 9-year-old Holsteiner mare (Carrico—Look Good, Cascavelle)

Clara Propp (New York, N.Y.) and Highway, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Casall—Zatendro, Contendro) owned by Aquitaine Equine

Elise Stephens (Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin) and O’Mega H & DB, a 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare (Kannan—Ikea Van’t Roosakker, For Pleasure) owned by Rendezvous Farm   

The 2024 FEI Jumping Nations Cup Youth Final will feature pony, children, junior and young rider classes at the championship level for each different categories. The U.S. Junior Jumping Team will jump at a height of 1.40 meters, while the U.S. Young Rider Jumping Team will compete at 1.45 meters in height. Each team will contest two qualifying rounds early in the week in order to compete in the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Youth Final for both sections Sept. 15.
