The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced the three athlete-and-horse combinations selected to represent U.S. dressage at this year’s FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Verden, Germany, Aug. 5-10. Chef d’Equipe and USEF dressage technical advisor Christine Traurig will accompany these combinations.
The following athlete and horse combinations have been selected to represent the U.S. at the 2025 FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses and are listed in alphabetical order:
Hope Cooper (Concord, Massachusetts) and O Romeo S, a 6-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Charmeur—Evanta III MMW, UB-40), owned by Tammy Richard and bred by Sonnenburg Farm LLCÂ
Rebecca Rigdon (Cardiff by the Sea, California) and Stay Cool, a 5-year old Hanoverian gelding (Secret—Dequila, Don Darius), owned by Ad Astra CollectiveÂ

Caroline Roffman (Wellington, Florida) and Onassis, a 6-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion (Secret—Jackie O, Etoine), owned and bred by Hyperion Farm Inc.

The FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship is an annual championship showcasing up-and-coming dressage talent from around the world. The competition for 5-year-old horses begins on Thursday, Aug. 7. The semi-final will begin on Friday, Aug. 8. The competition will conclude with the final on Sunday, Aug. 10. Â
Competition for 6-year-old horses will begin with the qualifier on Wednesday, Aug. 6. The semi-final will take place on Thursday, Aug. 7. The final will close out the competition on Saturday, Aug. 9.
