Five up-and-coming horse and rider combinations will represent the United States on the U.S. Equestrian Federation 2009 Show Jumping Developing Rider Tour. These horse and rider combinations were selected based on their ranking on the March 27, 2009 USEF Computer List.

The following horse/rider combinations will compete at the CSI** Linz in Austria, May 8-10, the CSIO**** Linz in Austria, May 14-17, and the CSIO4* Lisbon in Portugal, May 28-31.
 
The riders include:

•    Ashlee Bond, 23, of Hidden Hills, Calif., on Cadett 7, a 12-year-old Holsteiner gelding owned by Little Valley Farms
•    Michelle Spadone, 25, of Califon, N.J., on Melisimo, a 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Morgan Hill Partners
•    Katherine Bardis, 21, of Pebble Beach, Calif., on Mademoiselle, a 12-year-old Holsteiner owned by M/C & S Partnership
•    Andrew Welles, 21, of Wellington, Fla., on Cypria 6, a 13-year-old Holsteiner mare owned by Peter Welles
•    Laura Teodori, 19, of Scottsdale, Ariz., on Kasoar D’Uxelles, an 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding owned by L & M Ventures LLC
 
The alternates, in this order, are:
 
•    Ali Wolff, 19, of New Albany, Ohio, on Lanoo, a 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by the rider
•    Charlie Jayne, 22, of Elgin, Ill., on Thomas Edison, a 10-year-old Throughbred gelding owned by Alex Jayne & Ira Schulman
•    Sloane Coles, 20, of The Plains, Va., on Lousiana, a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by the rider
•    Alexa Weeks, 24, of Southport, Conn., on Madison, a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Sasco Creek Farm
•    Jessica Siuda, 24, of Milford, N.J., on Robin, a 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Winward Farm

The developing riders will be under the guidance of Assistant Chefs d’Equipe Michelle Grubb (CSI Linz & CSIO Linz) and Eric Hasbrouck (CSIO Lisbon).
