The U.S. Equestrian Federation named Margie Engle, Lauren Hough, McLain Ward and Beezie Madden as the show jumping team that will represent the United States against a field of international teams at the CSIO Wellington (Fla.), March 7-11.
This is the only Nation\’s Cup team competition to be held in the United States in 2007.
Engle, Wellington, Fla., was named on Hidden Creek\’s Quervo Gold, a 13-year-old, Belgian Warmblood gelding, owned by the Hidden Creek Farm, Oak Creek, Wis. Hough, Wellington, Fla., will pilot Casadora, an 11-year-old, Dutch Warmblood mare, owned by Laura and Meredith Mateo, Weston, Mass.
Ward, Brewster, N.Y., will compete Sapphire, a 12-year-old, Belgian Warmblood mare, owned by Ward and Blue Chip Bloodstock, Brewster, N.Y. Madden, Cazenovia, N.Y., will ride Integrity, a 10-year-old, Dutch Warmblood gelding, owned by Abigail Wexner, New Albany, Ohio.

The alternates are: Laura Kraut, Wellington, Fla., on Anthem, a 16-year-old, Dutch Warmblood gelding, owned by The Summit Syndicate; Todd Minikus, Wellington, Fla., on Olinda, an 11-year-old, Dutch Warmblood mare, owned by Houlihan Lawrence, Bronxville, N.Y.; and Molly Ashe, Wellington, Fla., on Cocu, a 15-year-old, Holsteiner mare, owned by Jane F. Clark, New York, N.Y.
George Morris is the United States\’ chef d\’equipe. Last summer, Morris guided the U.S team to a silver medal at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany and to a second-placed finish in the 2006 Samsung Super League Nations Cup series.
