U.S. Show Jumping Team Named For The WEG

The USEF selectors, chef d'equipe George Morris, and the Show Jumping High-Performance committee announced today, June 8, the team of four and two alternates for the 2006 World Equestrian Games, to be held on Aug. 20-Sept. 3 in Aachen, Germany.

The team is: Beezie Madden on Authentic, McLain Ward on Sapphire, Margie Engle on Quervo Gold and Laura Kraut on Miss Independent. The first two alternates are Jeffery Welles on Armani and Molly Ashe on Neuville.

The team was named based on their performances in the WEG Selection Trials, held in Wellington, Fla., in April, and the riders’ and horses’ performances at European Samsung Super League Nations Cups.
