Versailles, France—July 29
The dressage horses had their horse inspection Sunday, July 28, for the Paris Olympic Games. All four U.S. horses passed.
Three other horses will be reinspected Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. local time (1:45 a.m. ET): Christian Schumach’s Amplemento (Austria), Jose Daniel Martin Dockx’s Malagueno (Spain) and Zaneta Sworonska-Kozubik’s Love Me (Poland). All three horses are on teams, with Amplemento in the reserve slot and may be substituted before the start of dressage.
Dressage competition begins at 11 a.m. local time (5 a.m. Eastern) Tuesday with the Grand Prix. The first U.S. horse will be 17th in the ring, with Olympic first timers Marcus Orlob in Jane at 1:57 p.m. (7:57 a.m. ET). Adrienne Lyle and Helix are 27th in the ring at 3:52 p.m. (11:52 a.m. ET).

The Grand Prix continues at 10 a.m. (4 a.m. ET) Wednesday. The final U.S. pair, Steffen Peters and Suppenkasper, are 28th in the ring at 3:01 p.m. (11:01 a.m. ET) that day. The top 10 ranked teams from the Grand Prix will advance to the Grand Prix Special, which begins at 10 a.m. (4 a.m. ET) Saturday. The Grand Prix freestyle, to determine individual medals happens Sunday, with the first rider to go at 10 am. (4 a.m. ET).
