A brief report in the Jan. 27 issue of the British weekly magazine Horse & Hound, headlined “U.S. Accepts Short Format Here To Stay,” has prompted a strongly worded response from Kevin Baumgardner and D.C. McBroom, the co-chairmen of the USEA Classic Three-Day Event Task Force.
Baumgardner and McBroom note that the headline and the first several paragraphs “create a misconception that American eventers are resigned to the marginalization, if not the outright elimination, of classic three-day events.”
