The British Eventing senior selectors announced the British eventing team competing at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in France on June 19.

- Tina Cook (43) will ride 11-year-old British bred De Novo News (Last News—Douce de Conguar), owned by the rider and Jim Chromiak.
- William Fox-Pitt (45) will compete with Christopher Stone’s Chilli Morning, 14-year-old Brandenburg-Anhalt stallion (Koralle—Kolibre).
- Pippa Funnell (45) will ride Billy Beware, a 10-year-old British bred gelding (Kannan—Dollar Day, Cavalier) owned by Jonathan and Jane Clark.
- Zara Phillips (33) will ride Gleadhill Stud Ltd.’s High Kingdom, a 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Master Imp—High Dolly, Chairlift).
- Oliver Townend (31) will ride Karyn Shuter’s 13-year-old Thoroughbred gelding Black Tie II (Mughtanim—Deebee Lady).
Update July 28: Pippa Funnell was forced to withdraw Billy Beware due to injury. A fifth and sixth member of the squad will be announced shortly.
“As always it’s a very exciting time once the squad has been selected for a Championships,” commented Britain’s Eventing Chef d’Equipe Yogi Breisner. “The main aim this year is Olympic qualification, whilst being as competitive as possible. I think we have the right squad to achieve that.”
