Jonathan Soresi, a hunter/jumper trainer who owns Soresi Show Stables, Pompton Plains, N.J., was arrested on Nov. 5 on alleged child pornography charges.
The Syracuse, N.Y., police reported that Soresi, 50, took his laptop computer to Circuit City in Syracuse for repair on Friday Nov. 3. Circuit City employees called police when in the course of the repair they discovered child pornography materials on the computer.
When he returned to the store on Nov. 5 to pick up the computer, Soresi was taken in for questioning and arrested. He was arraigned on Monday Nov. 6 and released.

The Post-Standard reported that the computer contained numerous images of young boys engaging in graphic sexual acts. Soresi was charged with possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child, which is a felony.
Syracuse detectives retained the computer while the investigation continues.
Soresi is best known for his role in the acclaimed children\’s book A Very Young Rider. Soresi, then known as Jonathan Devine, trained the featured rider, Vivi Malloy. After moving to the West Coast to pursue an acting career and train horses, Soresi relocated to New Jersey in 2004 when he established his business at the North Jersey Equestrian Center.
