Thrush Tip’s™ Mission

With your help, we can finally get the product out to the masses of frustrated owners and horses that desperately need it. The prototype has been made, tested and refined. Everything is ready to go, we just need the funds to make it happen.

Rescue horses that have been neglected usually have severe thrush that is painful. We want to help as many rescues become more comfortable and you can help too by selecting one of the perks for rescues. Let us know about a rescue facility near you.

The Thrush Tip™ is going to help so many horses.

Features of the Thrush Tip™

  • Fits into tiny cracks and holes of the hoof – especially between the bulbs of the heel.
  • Discourages clogging and prevents back splash – this safety feature is for us horsepeople. Besides being frustrated when something doesn’t work, we tend to over squeeze to make it work, the Thrush Tip™ can take it!
  • Flexible plastic won’t’ break off in the hoof, or stab into the sensitive tissue. Bends up into the seedy toe opening. FDA approved chemical safe plastic.
  • Quality valve – controls unwanted drips and the liquid from pouring out. You can turn it upside down, nothing will come out until you squeeze – stop squeezing and the flow stops.
  • Refillable bottle – the perfect size to fit comfortably in your hand while having enough remedy to do the work. The freedom to use your liquid remedy. There are many great homeopathic remedies that need a great applicator.
  • Closure top that doesn’t get lost and keeps the liquid in even if it falls over. Grooming box stays clean!

Thrush Education

What are the benefits of detecting and preventing thrush?

  • The most important concern is preventing lameness in the horse.
  • Keeping the frog healthy, proper blood circulation is maintained in the hoof and leg.

Hiding Places Of Thrush!

In-between the bulbs, central sulcus or the heel of the hoof.

If you see a crack in this area, it was caused by thrush. The deeper the crack, the longer it will take to heal (sometimes months). Even with pads, horses can get this heel crack.

The Story

As a professional horseperson, trainer and coach I was constantly dealing with thrush. I noticed in severe cases a very deep crack between the bulbs. In addition, I observed horses were sensitive to pressure on the frog; some clearly showing signs of lameness. As a result of the education I received from true professional farriers and veterinarians, I was able to treat the problem.

The “old” way with cotton was time consuming and difficult when the cracks became thinner. I observed some people over stuffing the crack making the horse lamer. I tried a syringe. This seemed better, but it clogged many times, leaving me frustrated. The remedy was wasted and I found the syringe too short for very deep cracks.

Understanding that thrush had to be killed from deep inside the hoof crack, and severe cracks would take as long as 5 months until they would grow out, I had to be tenacious. I was determined to design a device to make this treatment easier, faster, and efficient.

Over time the idea for the Thrush Tip™ was born! While in the early design stage I witnessed a friend using a syringe that back-splashed a caustic remedy into his eye. This was the final push I needed. The applicator was not just for the horses anymore but also the safety of the user.

As of today, the tedious prep work is completed, and it’s time to make the Thrush Tip™ available.

I have created a startup distributor business “GoodHorseProducts.com” with an E-commerce website to eventually sell the Thrush Tip™ and other products. When you visit the site you can view the current products which is ever expanding.

The Thrush Tip™ was well received at various tradeshows during which attendees placed pre-orders. We thank you for your enthusiastic support!

I have been told numerous times, “When you have product, let us know!” In addition, thrush remedy companies, such as Well Horse and Shoe Bond Systems Inc. expressed an interest to shrink-wrap their product with the Thrush Tip™ applicator.

  • Ray Tricca from SBS said, “I love your product! Let me know when you have it.”
  • Joe Police Executive Director of the Kentucky Horseshoeing School wants to incorporate the Thrush Tip into their program.
  • Distributors in Europe are eagerly waiting for product to test in their markets.

I have done everything I can do up until this point. The credit cards are maxed out and making this become a reality is my life. I need your help. Please choose a perk that works for you and tell your friends and anyone else you know about the campaign here on Indeigogo. The Thrush tip applicator is an accurate/effective tool to win the battle of thrush!

Time is ticking, please act now. This is a risk-free fixed funding project. If the goal is not reached, you will not pay anything and the production of the Thrush Tip™ will be on hold until funding becomes available.

I thank you in advance for selecting a perk and supporting the Thrush Tip™ project.

“I need the Thrush Tip™ for my horse ASAP! Is it ready for purchase right now?” We only wish it was, this campaign will help us produce the first run of Thrush Tips™. The contributors will be first to receive the Thrush Tip applicator.

“How much does the Thrush Tip™ cost?” It has a suggested retail price of $9.99 for the applicator and refillable bottle. Filled Thrush Tips with commercial remedies will vary in pricing for each brand and quantity.

“Can I sell the Thrush Tip™ in my store?” YES, there is a perk for wholesale accounts. You can buy the Thrush Tip by the case.

“Why is the Thrush Tip™ better than other applicators?” It was designed specifically for cracks in horse’s hooves. When deep thrush cracks start to heal, they close up becoming thin, but still remain deep. The proprietary tip design allows the tip to sit on the bottom of the crack and still disperse the liquid. The flexible plastic tip can bend for more accurate administering as in a Seedy Toe crack in the front of the hoof with a shoe. The stock applicators being used on today’s products unfortunately are too wide or too short.

“What can I put in the bottle?” The applicator is designed for liquids only. It is made from chemical safe plastic. As for thrush remedies we suggest only NON-CAUSTIC remedies to be used, as not to kill the healthy cells of the hoof or hurt the horse. There are great commercial products as well as homeopathic ones that are NON-CAUSTIC to the horse and yourself.

“What else can I use the Thrush Tip™ for besides thrush?” So far it has been used for seedy toe, puncture wounds and even to flush out an incision.

“Can I use the Thrush Tip™ applicator for other animals?” We hope the applicator finds other uses for many types of animal’s treatments. Ask your small or large Veterinarian if there is anything they can use it for and please let us know, so we can share with others.

“What is the Thrush Tip™ crowdfunding campaign about? Our crowdfunding campaign will enable us to have the molds made to produce the mass-production of the first run of units to get things rolling.
