Thompson Grabs The Lead From Dutton On Day 1

The rain nearly held off until the end of dressage in Lexington, Ky., April 28, but Jan Thompson entered the arena on Task Force (48.2) just as it started to fall. The weather didn't affect her ride, though, as she posted the only score in the 40s to hold the lead over her coach, Phillip Dutton, on Hannigan (54.4). Tiffani Loudon stands third with Above N Beyond (55.0), ahead of Robyn Fisher on Le Samurai (55.6), out of the 17 horses to compete today.
