Unionville, PA – Sept. 6, 2011 – The Plantation Field International CIC in Unionville, Pennsylvania brings the feel of much bigger European competitions to this bucolic piece of Chester County. The Professional Riders Organization today announced that it is dedicating the Bareback Puissance exhibition on Sunday, September 18th to the support of Operation Homefront, the Official Charitable Partner of PRO. Operation Homefront is a national non-profit providing emergency financial and other assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors.

“As riders, we are so excited to help an organization that impacts the lives of families of our military members in times of need,” said Buck Davidson a founding member of PRO. “Our sport originated in the cavalry and we feel it just makes sense to honor the history of eventing by supporting families who are connected to all branches of services”.

Join us in supporting this wonderful organization by making a financial pledge for each of the participating riders. As the height of the puissance wall increases, your pledge amount will keep adding up. All funds will be donated to Operation Homefront.

The stars of the sport and it’s favorite personalities will be out competing during three days of world class competition, September 16-18th. Headlining the CIC***, part of the PRO Tour Series, are local favorites Phillip Dutton, Buck Davidson, Jennnie Brannigan and Boyd Martin. Boyd Martin recently finished in 7th place at the Burghley CCI**** on his amazing wonder hourse, Neville Bardos, who has demonstrated what a special horse he is after a remarkable recovery from the tragic barn fire at True Prospect Farm in March.

Top riders Karen O’Connor, Sinead Halpin, Colleen Rutledge, Will Coleman and Michael Pollard will also be on hand. Professional show jumper and now event rider Marilyn Little-Meredith will also be out competing having just won an advanced division at the Five Point Horse Trials in Raeford, NC. Marilyn will be one of the riders testing her skills and helping to raise financial support for Operation Homefront in Sunday’s Bareback Puissance Exhibition.

Organizers have made major improvements to the event including the construction of a new arena and new Dubarry water complex. Spectators can enjoy the country fair like atmosphere with children’s activities that include a petting zoo, face-painting and moonbounce; an expanded trade fair showcasing vendors J. McLaughlin, Bit of Britain, Dubarry of Ireland, Outback Trading Co., Wise Equestrian, and more. Other activities include the kids’ one foot jumping contest, the Parade of Mr. Stewart’s Cheshire Hounds, and the fan favorite, PRO Bareback Puissance Exhibition.
