The Courbette Saddlery Co., Inc. product line is being integrated into the line of brands offered by Stübben North America. The integration will be effective March 1, 2011.
Courbette Saddlery, established by Harry Hauser in 1976, is a well recognized name in the North American equestrian marketplace, with its primary business being high quality European saddles and tack. Stübben North America plans to widen its offerings with the addition of the line, and intends to keep using the Courbette brand name.
“We know this is a win-win situation,” said Jim Ehrmann, President of Stübben North America. “We’ve hosted Courbette’s warehousing and logistics facility since 2005, and when Mr. Hauser started to think about the successful continuation of Courbette, we all thought it was a great idea to combine forces. We’re thrilled to add such a high profile name to the Stübben North America line of products.”
“I’m excited about this change,” added Mr. Hauser. “I have been looking for a successor for some time, and this partnership with Stübben just made sense. No doubt they will do a good job with the Courbette brand. I will be staying on as a Stübben team member, so I won’t be out of the industry I love.”
Founded in 1994 and located in Troy, Virginia, Stübben North America is the North American distribution arm of Stübben Riding Equipment.
