Springer And Arthur Lead The Way At Blenheim

The dressage phase of the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials CCI*** (England) concluded today, Friday, Sept. 11, with two U.S. riders in the top 10.

Allison Springer and Arthur lead the division with a penalty mark of 36.9 over Emily Baldwin of Great Britain and Drivetime with 38.5, the only two combinations to break into the 30s. Neil Spratt of New Zealand on Upleadon sits in third with 43.5, followed by Lucy Wiegersma of Great Britain on Granntevka Prince (45.4) and Pippa Funnel of Great Britain on Ensign (45.6).

Will Faudree and Pawlow finished their dressage well within striking range of the lead with a 46.5, leaving them in eighth position.

The only other U.S. competitor, Holly Payne on Madeline, is in 55th after a 61.7 penalty ride.

Cross-country starts tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10:00 AM BST (5:00 AM EST). Springer and Arthur leave the start box at 10:36, Payne and Madeline go at 11:42 and Faudree and Pawlow starts at 1:30 PM.
