The Split Rock Jumping Tour has been selected by the Fédération Equestre Internationale to host a Longines FEI World Cup Qualifier starting in 2018.

SRJT is now one of 14 events selected to be part of the FEI’s World Cup Show Jumping North American League that determines which North American riders qualify to go to the Longines FEI World Cup Finals.

“We are honored and absolutely thrilled to be chosen by the FEI to host a Longines FEI World Cup™ Qualifier next year,” said Derek Braun, Founder and CEO of the Split Rock Jumping Tour. “In just three short years, SRJT has helped change the way show jumping is presented in the U.S. and we look forward to working with the FEI and continuing our efforts on behalf of the sport.”

SRJT will host Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Columbus as part of its 2018 Columbus horse shows, held Sept. 26-Oct. 7 at Brave Horse Show Park in Johnstown, Ohio. The World Cup qualifier class will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7, and it will help determine which North American riders will qualify for the 2019 Longines FEI World Cup Show Jumping Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Finals will return to the United States in 2020 when they will be held in Las Vegas.

There are six shows on the 2018/19 North American Eastern League schedule (which is pending until FEI approval)–Old Salem (N.Y.) in September, Split Rock, the Washington International (D.C.) and the National Horse Show (Ky.) in October, the Royal Winter Fair (Toronto) in November, and Deeridge (Fla.) in February.

The 2018/19 North American Western League schedule includes five shows: Thunderbird (B.C.) in August, Sacramento (Calif.) and Del Mar (Calif.) in October and Thermal (Calif.) and Las Vegas (Nev.) in November.
