Leesburg, Va.—Oct. 6

It was a cloudy and cool day for the second of three days of competition at the Morven Park International Horse Trials. Over 400 horses are competing this weekend from beginner novice through CIC***, and several are contesting the Area II Championships.

The CIC***, advanced, CIC** and intermediate divisions served as a final prep run for many combinations heading to the Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International (Maryland) in two weeks, so several pairs opted to do a combined test and skip cross-country today, but there was still plenty of good riding on display over Tremaine Cooper’s courses.
