Del Mar, Calif.—Jan 31
The Chronicle is on site at the brand new Adequan West Coast Dressage Festival for the third of four CDI-Ws. Competition officially gets underway tomorrow, but today 32 pairs presented for the CDI jog. One pair, Tobi Coate and Zorren Ten X, will re-present tomorrow.
Notable combinations include Steffen Peters, who is competing Rosamunde in the CDI-W, her first competition back since winning the Grand Prix and Grand Prix freestyle CDI-W at Del Mar last April.
Charlotte Jorst brings forth three rides across the small and large tour, while Nick Wagman brings Ferano, who’s won three small tour CDIs this year already.
We’ll be bringing you coverage of the CDI classes, as well as the national Grand Prix classes, which feature top pairs like Kathleen Raine and Breanna and Peters and his new ride Suppenkasper, and Saturday night’s masterclass with top German rider Helen Langehanenberg.
