Following a team training camp at Oak Crest Farm in Toronto, Canadian selectors decided to replace Stuart Black and Blackout with Garry Roque and Waikura on Aug. 4. Selectors Rob Stevenson, Lorraine Laframboise, Juliet Graham, Grit High and Dr. Kathy Anderson named medical reasons for both horse and rider as the reason for the last-minute change.
Roque and Waikura placed 34th at the North Georgia CIC*** in April before Roque withdrew Waikura during the third horse inspection at the Rolex Kentucky CCI****.   Last year, they took 22nd at the Fair Hill CCI*** and 46th at the Foxhall CCI*** (Ga.). He joins Hawley Bennett/Livingstone, Bruce Mandeville/Larissa, Ian Roberts/Mata-Riki and Mike Winter/Balista.
