Riders Announced For Paris Paralympic Team Competition

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced the three combinations who will represent the U.S. Para Dressage Team in Friday’s team competition at the Paris Paralympic Games: 

• Rebecca Hart (Wellington, Florida) and Floratina, a 16-year-old Hanoverian mare (Fidertanz—Rubina, Rubin Royal OLD) owned by Rowan O’Riley and cared for by Mackenzie Young, will ride in Grade III. 

• Fiona Howard (Boston) and Diamond Dunes, an 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding (De L’Or—Wibella, Wolkentanz) owned by Dressage Family LLC and Hof Kasselmann and cared for by Helen Claire McNulty, will ride in Grade II.

Roxanne Trunnell (Royal Palm Beach, Florida) and Fan Tastico H, 7-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Fuersentball OLD—Wehmut, Weltmeyer) owned by Karin Flint and cared for by Rafael Hernandez-Carillo, will ride in Grade I.

The competition is organized by grade and will being at 2:30 a.m. Eastern Time with Grade IV riders. The first grade with a U.S. rider in it is Grade I, which will begin at 6:52 a.m. ET with Roxanne Trunnell and Fan Tastico H in Grade I. Grade II is scheduled to begin at 8:50 a.m. ET and Grade II at 10:03 a.m. ET. Medals will be presented at the conclusion of the Grade III competition.

The U.S. team won its first team medal, bronze, at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2021. The three riders named for this year’s competition won either gold or silver Tuesday in individual competition.
