A cross-country accident at the Mitsubishi Motors Hartpury College Horse Trials in Gloucestershire, England, Aug. 9, has resulted in the death of Emma Jonathan, 23. She was riding a 9-year-old mare, El Nino, when she fell at fence 19 on the two-star course. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is underway to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
