“The kids at Mustard Seed Ranch deeply appreciate Richard and Jennifer for riding on their behalf at such a prestigious event,” says MSR Founder Tom McCall. “It was truly an honor to be chosen as one of the event’s charities, and the funds raised will help us continue our work for so many children in need.”
Lockton Insurance Brokers and R-T Specialty, LLC sponsored MSR at the Charity Pro-AM, where 30 teams composed of one professional rider and one amateur compete and ride for a good cause, each in support of a select charity. It has become over the years a ‘classic’ at the Masters Grand Slam events and confirms the organizers’ long standing commitment to philanthropy.
“Participating in the first Longines Los Angeles Masters with Christophe Ameeuw’s amazing staff and the support of the equestrian community was exhilarating,” says Erik Davis, MSR board member and president of R-T Specialty Insurance Services Los Angeles. “We look forward to next year’s event and continuing our relationship with this wonderful community of riders, owners, sponsors and fans.”
The Masters Grand Slam Indoor is one of the most prestigious events of the indoor show jumping season. The Longines Los Angeles Masters celebrated the essence of L.A. lifestyle by combining 5-star equestrian competition, fine dining, shopping, art, and entertainment over four days at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Mustard Seed Ranch
Mustard Seed Ranch (MSR) was founded in 2006 as a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to providing equine assisted therapy and life-experience programs to abused and neglected youth in Southern California. The organization reaches 120 kids each year through its current program locations in Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties, and continues to expand in order to reach the growing need for this program.
MSR’s mission is to help young people heal in a safe and nurturing environment, provide them the life skills to build healthy, lasting relationships, and to break the cycle of abuse. Collaborating with community partners, Mustard Seed Ranch offers the opportunity for those youth in foster care, group homes, and institutional settings to experience unconditional love for the first time, regain confidence, learn personal responsibility and restore their sense of worth and trust in others.
