The country is the high desert sagebrush in the Sierra-Nevada mountains and foothills. The kennels consist of 75,000 acres, with three contiguous fixtures, of 150,000 acres or more, each. Other fixtures include cattle and sheep ranches. The vast countries are paneled with coops and timber. The sandy ground cover never freezes. Away areas include: Doyle, Herlong and Ridgecrest, Calif., Eureka, Belmont, Dayton and Gerlach, Nev., and Three Forks, Mont. A blood horse is strongly recommended.
