The 2010 CDI*** Raleigh W/J/Y has been cancelled due to the resignation of the show’s manager, Janine Malone.

“Although it was unfortunate that this resignation required the cancellation of the 2010 CDI***Raleigh W/J/Y, NCDCTA is moving forward with plans to enhance and improve this event for the benefit of the dressage high performance competitors and spectators, as well as our own NC dressage community,” said NCDCTA president Suzanne Mullen. “NCDCTA has a proud 15-year history of promoting excellence in dressage, and we are more than ever committed to continuing that tradition. We are currently in negotiations with a new manager for 2011 and hope to continue hosting this important international event for years to come.”

The Capital Dressage Classic will be held June 4-6 as a Level 3 competition with USEF Developing Program Qualifiers, but without the CDI portion of the show.

East Coast dressage riders looking to qualify for the World Equestrian Games selection trials will now have one less qualifier before the July 15 cut-off date. To qualify, riders must earn qualifying scores in two CDIs, performing the Grand Prix Special at one and the freestyle test at the other. Riders ranked in the top 15 in the United States will be invited to attend the selection trials in Gladstone, N.J., which will be held Aug. 6-8 and Aug. 13-15.
