Professional Equine Grooms Announces New Awards For 2012

Professional Equine Grooms is creating a new series of awards for grooms, which will be presented in the fall of 2012. These awards will honor grooms who go above and beyond and have contributed to the improvement of the equine industry as a whole.

The mission of PEG is to acknowledge grooms as skilled individuals in their respective disciplines and to provide growth and educational opportunities across the horse world.

Liv Gude, founder of PEG, is a former groom who started the organization as an interactive community for grooms and other horse industry professionals to join together in support of each other.

The weekly “Best Grooming Tip” contest will continue, and PEG is also working on a plan to help grooms gain health insurance and to find solutions for employers who wish to offer insurance packages to their employees.
