Positive FEI Medication Test Results From The Athens Olympics Released

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) released a press statement today revealing that four horses participating in the Athens Olympic Games have tested positive for banned medication substances. The FEI did not release the names of those four horses, since they leave that to the National Federations of the riders.

But, the German National Equestrian Federation issued a press release on their website stating that samples from show jumper Goldfever, ridden by Ludger Beerbaum, and event horse Ringwood Cockatoo, ridden by Bettina Hoy, have come back positive for banned substances. The corticosteroid Betamethason was found in Goldfever
