California Dreaming Productions proudly announces the addition of Performance Sales International as the official Presenting Sponsor for their spring CDI schedule, which includes three qualifying competitions for the 2014 Alltech/FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) and two qualifiers for April’s Reem Acra/FEI World Cup Dressage Final.
Under the visionary leadership of Paul Schockemöhle and Ullrich Kasselmann, German-based Performance Sales International (P.S.I.) has established itself as one of the equestrian industry’s leading breeders, trainers, and sellers of elite sport horses for more than three decades. Each year, buyers from around the world flock to the spectacular P.S.I. auctions for a chance to purchase from an exclusive collection of young dressage and show jumping prospects. Many of these horses bred, trained, and/or sold by P.S.I. have gone on to earn accolades on the international stage, including with the U.S. Dressage Team. In addition, P.S.I. annually welcomes top riders and almost 67,000 visitors to their home base in Hagen, a.T.W, Germany for the fabulous Horses & Dreams competition in April, a unique equestrian event which combines top international sport with entertainment and a multi-cultural celebration.
“We are pleased to partner with California Dreaming Productions to sponsor their CDIs,” noted Kasselmann. “We appreciate our American buyers and applaud the success owners and riders have enjoyed with their P.S.I. graduates. And with a long history of supporting top-class dressage competition in America, we are now happy to be a part of this new series and look forward to attending in beautiful southern California.”

California Dreaming Productions (CDP), formed by a coalition of organizers Glenda McElroy and David and Alisa Wilson, is working to establish itself as the premier CDI series on the West Coast by offering riders, owners and spectators high-performance dressage competition combined with new amenities for a fresh competitive experience. The first CDP event for 2014 will be the Mid-Winter Dressage Fair CDI-W/Y/J/U-25, scheduled for February 20 – 23 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, CA. In March, California Dreaming Productions will provide exhibitors with innovative back-to-back qualifying competitions with the Capistrano Dressage International CDI-W/Y/J/U-25 on March 22 – 24, and the Festival of the Horse CDI 3*/Y/J/U-25 on March 28 – 30, both to be held at the beautiful Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
David Wilson explained why he’s thrilled to have P.S.I. join California Dreaming Productions as their major sponsor. “As a trainer, I remember the first time I took two young riders to Europe and Mr. Kasselmann took all of us under his wing and made us feel so welcome. P.S.I. is such a supporter of the sport and of people climbing the ladder to pursue their dreams,” he said. “We are honored and thankful to have P.S.I. support our CDIs, and we feel like this is a great match. It also opens the door to possible opportunities for more of our West Coast riders to ride overseas in the future, perhaps qualifying from our competitions for a chance to go compete at the Horses & Dreams show in 2015. We look forward to a great spring season and to further developing these ideas with the P.S.I. team.”
