Pepsi Announced As Official Soft Drink of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

The World Games 2010 Foundation today announced Pepsi-Cola as the Official Beverage Supplier of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

As the Official Beverage Supplier, Pepsi will help fuel thousands of volunteers with their products, and will also provide recycling centers on the grounds. Pepsi will be sold exclusively on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park during the Games. The company has also pledged its support of the Games through marketing efforts throughout the summer.

The World Games 2010 Foundation today announced Pepsi-Cola as the Official Beverage Supplier of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

John Dougherty, Vice President and General Manager of the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Lexington, pledged the resources of the local bottling team and marketing department in support of the prestigious WEG activities. “Our Pepsi brand groups and Lexington employees are looking forward to being part of this international event and will continue this partnership beyond the games with our new relationship with the Kentucky Horse Park.”

The 2010 Games will feature eight world championships in equestrian sport and are being held for the first time in the United States September 25 through October 10 at Lexington’s Kentucky Horse Park.

The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are the world championships of eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). The Games are held every four years and this will be the first occurrence in the United States.
