Pairs Team Horses Set For Championships

The three U.S. drivers who\'ll be representing the United States at the World Pairs Driving Championships, in Wals-Siezenheim, Austria, on Sept. 8-11 have finalized the horses they\'ll be taking.

Fritz Gruppe, of Lodi, Calif., will be driving Magnum 44 (an Oldenburg gelding, 11), Peter (a Sachsen gelding, 13,), and Ravell (a German warmblood gelding, 8).

The three U.S. drivers who\’ll be representing the United States at the World Pairs Driving Championships, in Wals-Siezenheim, Austria, on Sept. 8-11 have finalized the horses they\’ll be taking.

Fritz Gruppe, of Lodi, Calif., will be driving Magnum 44 (an Oldenburg gelding, 11), Peter (a Sachsen gelding, 13,), and Ravell (a German warmblood gelding, 8).

Mike McLennan, of Brenham, Texas, will be driving Peccan Mill Ruff (a Friesian/Quarter Horse gelding, 9), Peccan Mill Tuff (a Friesian-Quarter Horse gelding, 9), and Janosch 525 (a Hungarian warmblood gelding, 6).

Lisa Singer, of Chadds Ford, Pa., will be driving Avalon Avant Garde (a Morgan gelding, 18), Count On Me (a Morgan gelding, 11), and Lr Ami Bengali (a Morgan gelding, 9).

The team\’s reserve driver is Alan Aulson, of Georgetown, Mass., who\’ll be driving three Morgan geldings—Nordby Coalie Duke, Nordby Coalie Coal Dust and Meddo\’s Chief George.
