The order of go has been set for the individual show jumping qualifier for at the Paris Olympic Games, and 74 are expected to jump.
The United States is sticking with the line-up from the team competition. Kent Farrington, who withdrew from the team competition just before the two-hour deadline, citing allergy issues for his mount Greya, did not present the mare at the second horse inspection.
Karl Cook, who had two clear rounds with Caracole De La Roque in the team competition, will be the first U.S. rider in the ring, in 11th. Laura Kraut is 35th with Baloutinue, and McLain Ward is 60th with Ilex.
Several nations have changed their line-up from the team competition. The United Arab Emirates did not present Ali Hamad Al Kirbi’s Jarlin De Torres in the second inspection, so reserve rider Salim Ahmed Al Suwaidi will ride Foncetti VD Heffinck. Isarel’s Ashlee Bond also did not present Donatello 141, so reserve rider Isabella Russekoff will ride C Vier 2. Mexico’s Contendros 2 ridden by Andres Azcarraga, was not passed on first inspection for the team competition, but did pass the second inspection and will compete as an individual.
Egypt only had an individual spot in the Olympics, but Nayel Nassar announced that he has withdrawn Coronado after the gelding picked up a minor injury.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce our withdrawal from the 2024 Olympic Games,” he wrote on social media. “After successfully passing the first veterinary inspection earlier this week, Coronado unfortunately sustained a minor injury in the days after, and regretfully we must end our Olympic journey here.”
The top 30 pairs after the qualifier will advance to the final, on Tuesday, Aug. 6. All ties will be broken on time.
Competition starts at 2:00 p.m. local time (8:00 a.m. ET).
