(Scottsdale, AZ) The Atwood Ranch and the Parelli Education Institute are coming together for one great event to be held September 5-7, 2014 at the Parelli Education Institute Campus in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  The highlight of the event will be the auction of eight horses that, for the past year, have trained with Parelli’s top instructors.  That means anyone who buys one of these horses will be getting a beautiful animal that is already trained through the Parelli Natural Horsemanship system.

“This is an incredibly exciting event for anyone who loves horses and knows the power of Parelli training,” said Parelli Education Institute Executive Director Lori Northrup. The horses were donated as colts at last year’s Summit by the Atwood Ranch of Red Bluff, California. “We have been supporters of the Institute and its work from day one,” said Catherine Sapienza who, along with her husband Mike, manages the Atwood Ranch. “The Road to the Summit event is a win-win!  The horses win, the professionals win, the Institute wins and the highest bidders win the grand prize!  This event will highlight the success of natural horsemanship and its relevance to the industry as a whole.”

Parelli’ s top instructors volunteered to work with the horses throughout the year; training them and starting them under saddle. The horses, and their trainers, will be on the Institute’s campus during this year’s Summit, going through a variety of demonstrations designed to showcase the horses’ abilities and personalities. The event will culminate with the horses’ auction.   The auction begins online this summer July 1, 2014 and closes at the Summit on September 7, 2014 with final bidding in person and by smart phone or computer. 

Seventy percent of the proceeds will go to the Parelli Education Institute, with the instructors receiving 30 percent to help offset the costs of feed, veterinary, horse care and travel that they have incurred during the year.
