Wellington, FL (February 9, 2010) – Wakana, the 10-year-old equine partner of Germany’s Olympic Gold Medalist Ulla Salzgeber, was awarded the Equilite 2010 Grooming & Conditioning Award during the jog at the Exquis World Dressage Masters CDI. Thanks to Wakana’s shining chestnut coat, glistening blaze and four gleaming white socks, the German mare won a giant tote filled with products from Equilite, sponsors of the Grooming & Conditioning Award and makers of herbal animal health products and supplement blends including Sore No More®.
The Exquis World Dressage Masters, held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, featured 16 of the top dressage riders and horses in the world. The competition holds the distinction of being the only CDI 5* — the highest level of dressage competition – to be held in the Western Hemisphere.
The ground jury at the CDI Jog, consisting of judges and a veterinarian, chose Salzgeber’s Wakana to win the Equilite Grooming & Conditioning Award. Salzgeber, along with Wakana’s groom, were thrilled to win the award.
