Equestrian Sports New Zealand has released the most recent revision of their 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games eventing short list.
The list is split into an “A-squad” and a “B-squad.” The A-squad riders are denoted as those who have been deemed capable of a top 16 placing individually at the WEG, as based on recent performances. The B-squad is defined as horse-and-rider combinations capable of contributing to a top four team placing at the WEG.
Andrew Nicholson is the only rider on the A-squad with his three horses, Nereo, Avebury and Mr. Cruise Control. Nicholson was most recently fourth at the Luhmühlen CCI*** (Germany) aboard Mr. Cruise Control.
