The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association announced June 3 that the 2020 USHJA 3’3″ Hunter Seat Medal Final – East is changing locations. The inaugural event will now be held during the New England Equitation Championships in West Springfield, Massachusetts, on Oct. 17.
Originally set to be held in November at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio, the East Coast iteration of the finals had to be relocated after the Ohio facility elected to close from Sept. 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021 due to COVID-19. The final will now run concurrently with the New England Equitation Championships held Oct. 14-18. The USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal Final – West remains at the Blenheim Summer Classic at Mission Viejo Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano, California, Aug. 12-16.
